Shadowrun is on hold indefinitely.

Well folks... I've been rage quitting on shadworun editor lately. Yes I did manage to learn how to use it AND I know the basics um... pretty much.

But I still have trouble getting it to work.

After much rage quiting I've decide to go back to what I like most. D&d and Rules of Engagement!

So we'll focus more on ROE and Breach along with D&D.

BTW, I might think of writing some campaigns using FRUA unlimited adventures.

And do a bit with ROE 2 of course. My first love!!!! YEAH!!!

A good program for PCX drawings and other picture files

They got this program on the public domain its called Electronic arts deluxe paint. Its for dos and its needs dosbox to run but its far better than PCpaint and some other programs.

You can get it here from GIT HUB for free.

Also, You'll need it for making pictures and maps for Forgotten Realms Unlimited Adventures. Best for making custom art for Breach 1-3 and Rules of Engagement 1-2

Teaching myself how to use Shadowrun editor (ITS HARD!)

Thanks to everyone for continued support and for helpful hints along with the tutorial videos.

But they don't seem to help. Its like those dummies books I used to read about programming and using computer applications!!

HMMMMMM

The best way to learn I find is simply to open the initial packs and the other packs as well and just use editor to look at the triggers what they're connected to ETC.

Deadman's switch was very very helpful as was the Dragon fall campaign.


I especially got a kick out of how the morgue scene and the scene at the Manor worked. Very VERY USEFUL!

I learned about triggers, regions, moving spawned characters and a bit about cameras. Very interesting!

I tried writing a mission but I'm putting it on hold for awhile. While I figure this out. NO IT DID NOT GO FINE...

This is kinda like Swat 3 level editor.

In fact I'm thinking of maybe having a book similar to dummies about this and the level editors for SWAT 3 & 4 and Majesty 2 and Age Of wonders 3.

So many people I find on forums are having some of the same troubles I have and On 3 occasions I almost rage quit what I was doing.

Shadowrun Hong Kong to get a raincheck (ITS NOW DF!)

Yeah so, My computer crashed working the editor for shadowrun Hong Kong!

My computer is working again but without Shadowrun HK and barely running

Crashed and burn and I wonder if HK is to blame!

The people who posted comments said that I should do what I think is gonna make me happy.

And nothing would make me happy right now then to just shuck the whole damn thing and go back to what I liked the best...

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, BREACH AND FORGOTTEN REALMS UNLIMITED ADVENTURES!!

Maybe someday I'll get into an HK campaign but not right now.

Anyway, they already have mega-campaigns out for shadowrun so who cares?

Does anyone even still play it? Hard to say...

So never mind. I'll go back to FRUA and ROE2 And Breach 2-3!

I DO HOPE HAREBRAINED SCHEMES COMES OUT WITH A NEW SHADOWRUN THAT'S EVEN BETTER THAN DF AND HK!!

But I should tell you I'm having trouble getting the editor to run so... It'll be a long long time before you see anything.

And I'm going to continue doing campaigns for Breach 2-3 and Rules of Engagement 1-2.

Hey everyone! I've been reading comments on my posts particular pertaining to using the Shadowrun editor and I am very very impressed by a lot of what I have been reading!! LOVE IT!!!!

I really am greatful also for references to the Shadoowrun Tutorials!! BIG BIG HELP!!

And I got my shadowrun editor working on the computer I own! Despite being slow and clunky!

I am also  thankful to Kyle Prince by buddy from California who made it possible for me to get Shadowrun working on my computer and without whom this mega campaign I am planning would not be possible!!!

WOW!

The story is called Shadowrun: Legacy of the First Elyk Krynn

So! I got it working, I got the story set up, the foundations of the story anyway! And I've been practicing with the editor with Kyle's help.

Kyle Prince has an account on steam with Shadowrun on it So he'll be uploading it there. I have Shadowrun from GOG.com and Will upload from there to there.

As for the campaign, I am planning on uploading it on Steam and nexus in different chunks! Basically you'll be learning about this colorful cast of characters and events transpiring from the late 20th century to the mid to late 21st century.

It isn't going to be like Realms by Ray Dyer or Unreal Realms by Henry Darger.

Actually its gonna be more like Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I guess. Well no but... Yeah that and Scheherazade arabian tales.

But you'll meet a large cast of characters not at once but over time.

In chunks, branches and so on. Different episodes that get longer and longer and more intense. The story will go on for at least a year. I HOPE...

And At Least One of these branches I'll do in Dragonfall.

This is kinda also my baptism so to speak. So it gives me a chance to practice with different concepts some more.

Also, people have asked me to write a game using Forgotten realms Unlimite adventures,  or Dungeon craft, tell you what, lets put that on hold for now. I wish to focus here instead. Here and now.

I will be writing a new mega campaign for Shadowrun Hong Kong

Its gonna be big, massive, kinda like realms for D&D. But for shadowrun.

I also intend to finish in in a year While still writing campaigns for ROE2 and BREACH 2-3.

Its a mega campaign with several story arcs following at least two people.

It will be based on the storylines of the SNES, SEGA GENESIS AND SEGA CD VERSIONS OF SHADOWRUN. (THE ONES INVOLVING JAKE ARTIMAGE, JOSHUA, MAO AND D-HEAD ETC.) A little bit of Dead man's switch and As well as a bit of other cyberpunk sci-fi fantasy stories. IE: Johnny Mneumonic, Neuromancer, AD&D Treasure of Cloudy Mountain, As well as I think one or two Bernard Cornwell books.

Anyway, It'll be long and probably span multiple campaigns.

It will also be based in several areas of Japan and Most of the United States. SEATTLE OF COURSE IS ONE

Then there's a fictitious city state off the coast of Japan that has trolls and Orcs (Japan expelled its orc and Troll population after the magic returned I think) and I think Oakland California

In addition I am looking for several other cities in the US. Not sure which ones. If you know of a small town or city that no one knows about that you'd like included PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

All I know is one of the major centers for the storyline will be BERLIN NEW HAMPSHIRE In the United States. Oh! And Duluth Minnesota and Harpers Ferry West Virginia!!

Shadowrun Hong Kong the best Shadowrun after Dragonfall (Avoid Shadowrun Returns)

So I've been looking and inspecting and looking and investigating

Not to mention playing...

I have concluded that Shadowrun Hong Kong is superior to all the others. Dragon Fall is good too but Avoid Shadowrun Returns.

Also, you don't need Shadowrun Returns to run any of the games. Dragonfall, Just get the directors cut, its stand alone, no need to buy.

I am thinking of making a long long awesome campaign in Dragon fall. I'll tell you more about it later.

how to get Breach 2 working on Rules of engagement 2

A lot of

STEP 1

Download Breach 2 and unzip in the same directory as Rules of Engagement 2

\STEP 2

Cut and paste the files from Breach 2 into ROE2. ALL OF THEM! All the breach 2 files go into the main folder for ROE2. ALL OF THEM.

And when you play campaigns make sure the IGS option is on if you make a campaign.

Its all good!

BTW Still can't get Breach 3 to work with IGS. If anyone knows how, let me know. THANKS!
